Introducing new feature of advance purchase rates with Booking.com and Guestline.
Fed up of the endless no shows and last-minute cancellations from your channel bookings? Or are you looking for a way to improve cash flow and the ability to forecast accurately? Introducing the ability to automatically take payment for bookings, be it direct or channel.
We have all been there, last minute cancellations or the guests that decide to just not turn up, leaving you with limited time or resource to resell the rooms and often, they go unoccupied for the night. It has become a norm for guests to book multiple properties, encouraged by pop up banners and marketing messages to “cancel anytime” or “Nothing to pay until you stay” but do hoteliers really benefit from this? Sure, the rooms fly out of the door but, it’s not guaranteed occupancy and its even less guaranteed revenue.
It’s time to change the game, and to help, Guestline and Booking.com have released new functionality* which enables you to take full or part payment on bookings. Any property that has the Booking.com integration directly with Guestline Channel Manager (Roomlynx) or DBM can enable this functionality and reap the benefits.
Sally Wickens Connectivity Partner Business Manager (UK & Ireland) at Booking.com explains “By having a pre-payment policy in place, it takes the hassle out of payments, not only for our partners but for their guests too. Once they arrive, both parties can relax knowing that everything is already taken care of. It also means that reservations teams have a good indication of occupancy at all times and may reduce the frequency of no shows.”
And from a guests perspective, Emma Hesp, Regional Sales Manager highlights “When rooms have been paid for in advance, consumers are more likely to spend extra money during their stay on upsells like treatments in the spa, dinner in the restaurant or an extra round of drinks in the hotel bar as the accommodation costs have already been taken care of.” A win/win for hoteliers.
Reduce the manual work needed on payments, automatically mark reservations as “Paid” in Rezlynx PMS and easily report.

*Please note, that this is for the Booking.com direct connection to Roomlynx only. Where Booking.com reservations are delivered via a 3rd party this feature is not supported, i.e. Best Western CRS
