Guestline is becoming a force to be reckoned with in the German world of hospitality technology.
From our office in Munich, the team has grown considerably since they were established 3 years ago. The team now comprise 12 team members – all from a multi-national background, hailing from 6 countries!
Team Overview
The team are based all over Germany and split into 5 functions to ensure every stage of the customer journey is expertly fulfilled -from the initial consultation, through to project management, implementation, go live and ongoing support and development.
And the team’s efforts are paying off. Despite a challenging year, we’ve seen our portfolio grow by over 60% year on year in 2020 with customers spanning the country (in 9 out of the 16 German states).
Even though Covid has affected the German hospitality industry significantly, mainly from the lack of international travellers coming into Germany, the team has managed to weather the storm and support new clients in implementing new systems to ensure they in the best position possible for when they can welcome guests again. Throughout Covid, Guestline has supported clients with practical advice, partner support and training webinars and even taken 15 new sites live remotely.

What does the future hold?
"Even though the industry has been hit hard, hoteliers have been forward thinking and dedicated to optimising their tech stack. Germany is a resilient economy - we can see light at the end of tunnel and see a strong return to growth. Germany is a major destination for tourism and plays a key role in the MICE industry so we are taking a positive view of the future, especially with the growth of digitalisation and cloud adoption which will significantly help hoteliers improve operations and save money."

How has growth evolved?
"Not only do we have a multi-functional, all in one solution, our cloud systems are providing hoteliers with the flexibility to access their systems from any device, anywhere. The many benefits of migrating to the cloud has amplified since Covid 19, which has accelerated the need for hoteliers to have more access with disparate teams and remote working. Many hotel groups have joined us to realise these benefits.
