There is no doubt, the effect of COVID-19 will impact our industry
It is important to ensure you have policies and procedures in place to minimise the risk and impact upon your staff.
This is a good time to revisit your current cleaning routines, the cleaning products you use, and the frequency of deep cleans across your hotel. To minimise the risk of your staff catching Coronavirus take this opportunity to retrain on basic hygiene best practice and ensure that you have suitable equipment available such as gloves and hand sanitizers.
Ensuring that your air conditioning units and heating are up to date on services and making Hydro-alcoholic gel available within all staff rooms are great places to start.
Are your company policies up to date? Take this opportunity to double check all of your policies with regards to health and safety within the workplace. If you do experience periods of reduced occupancy, use this time to retrain staff in areas they are least comfortable.
Utilise your technology
Guestline Rezlynx PMS is available on mobile, it would be advisable to give refresher training on how to use the software on mobile if you don’t do so already.
If the spread of COVID -19 means staff have to self-isolate, they can still access the hub of your operations, Rezlynx.
