Breaffy House Resort in the heart of Co. Mayo, Ireland, identified the need to automate manual processes, basic levels of reporting and find a solution for dealing with real-time room availability.
Whilst boasting two hotels, the 4* Breaffy House Hotel and 3* Breaffy Woods Hotel, set across 90 acres and renowned as two of the best hotels in Mayo, the team wanted to streamline the hotels’ entire booking process, maximise operational efficiencies and facilitate tighter integration across all departments while enhancing customers’ experience.
With a previous outdated system in place, old-fashioned functionality and the need for a two-way interface, Breaffy House Resort imagined a system that could offer a solution to all their requirements. In particular, the need for a multi property solution so they could centralise certain functionality across the two properties and adapt the system across further hotels should they acquire any. Little did they know, such system existed - a fully serviced open API, award-winning PMS from Guestline that has now completely changed the performance of the resort:

Accessibility was a key factor for the resort. Now as the systems are cloud based, the company wide team can access the system on the go which is ideal for management when off-site and for housekeeping to update room statuses in real time. Gone are basic and manual levels of reporting and tedious data entry, saving the team over 1.5 hours per day through simple automation of the interface. Reporting now happens in a matter of seconds, segregated by source of business, type of customer, room occupancy etc. allowing revenue to forecast figures and make accurate projections.

In addition, the guest experience is further enhanced, driven by the improvement of internal efficiencies and systems. From personalised email confirmations with details and photos of the hotel they are staying in (eliminating confusion with two on-site hotels), to a smoother check-in / check-out process, allowing for personalisation of guest data for future communications.
