Adapting a hotel's operation to survive Covid-19 - an independent hotelier's essential guide
Guestline and Best Western GB's CEO Rob Paterson will be hosting a webinar on 16th April to provide independent hoteliers with guidance on how they can manage hotel's operations and adapt their property to fight the negative effects of Covid-19.
During this webinar, Rob will outline details of his personal experience of the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) and how hotels can apply for it, which is proving a vital lifeline for some hoteliers, and will provide insights into Restricted Access / Prevention of Access insurance - another hot topic.
The webinar will focus on Process C19 which enables hotels to safely support the Local Authorities and NHS Trusts and accommodate outpatients and carers with all the insurance, logistics, legal and planning implications that must be considered.
Delegates will also hear from the owners of The Grange at Oborne - one of the first Best Western properties to offer its accommodation to low-risk patients and care workers in a bid to help free up space in NHS hospitals- who will share their experience.
James Cannon, Sales and Marketing Director at Guestline commented, ‘We’re committed to giving independent hoteliers as much support and advice as possible and it’s great to team up with Best Western who are at the forefront of providing much needed clarity in these areas. Anything we can do to make processes and schemes as clear as possible and easy to implement for our hoteliers is a priority of ours. Our team are also on hand to assist hoteliers in making these adaptions so please contact us if we can help in any way.’
Rob Paterson added, ‘It’s an unsettling time for most businesses, not least those in the hospitality industry but there is support out there and we’re here to guide people through it.
I worry many independent hoteliers won’t know how to use the CBILS model the way the Government intend it to be used. We want to offer hope and assistance to all independent hoteliers regardless of whether they’re a member of Best Western or not. We just want to do our bit for hospitality. It’s hard enough for us as a group, let alone the individual property so we want to help hoteliers get through this with the support that’s available.’
Neil Whittear from Reality Finance (who provide the CBILS) will also be hand to answer hotelier’s questions on who is eligible and what they need to consider when applying for a loan.
The webinar takes place at 11.30am GMT on Thursday 16th April 2020.
