Rezlynx - How It Works
The fundamental principle behind a Property Management System (PMS) designed specifically for the internet is that the software does not need to be installed locally at the hotel. Instead, it is hosted remotely by our professional server hosting service and is installed on our array of dedicated servers. Staff at the hotel access Rezlynx by using a unique web address and log on to the system using an authorised user account and password. Therefore the system can be accessed by any internet ready PC.
All of the data is stored securely on the remote server. Our hosting service are responsible for backups of the hotel database, security and integrity of the data and the resilience of the servers on which the software and data is stored. The data remains the sole and confidential property of the hotel and can be downloaded if required for local use at the hotel.
In the very rare event of a temporary communications failure with the remote servers, standard functionality is provided locally at the hotel. This includes a complete and up-to-date list of arrivals, departures, residents and guest bills. This unique backup procedure designed by Guestline enables the property to continue essential operations until communications are re-established.
