Guestline Launches An Integrated Chip & Pin Module For Its EPoS System

Guestline launched an integrated Chip & Pin module for its EPoS system at Hostec-Eurhotec. Guestline EPoS is a PC based, touch screen point of sale system, which integrates seamlessly with the company's Windows ® and web based Property Management Systems to provide a total solution for accommodation, food & beverage in hotels. The addition of an integrated Chip & Pin solution via Commidea offers further efficiencies for Front of House staff, providing real time, online authorisation via both wired and wireless terminals.

Woolacombe Goes Live With Guestline EPoS
Since its launch, Guestline EPoS has been installed in over 200 properties nationwide and Woolacombe Bay Hotel was one of the early adopters of the system.

Superbly positioned between National Trust headlands and with beautiful gardens running onto three miles of uninterrupted golden sand, Woolacombe Bay Hotel combines the timeless elegance of days gone by with all the luxuries that modern day living has to offer.
In addition to EPoS, the hotel also implemented Guestline PMS, providing a seamlessly integrated solution to replace the proven manual processes which have served the hotel so well for many years.
"We were running a very effective manual system, but recognised the potential efficiency savings and improved management information that a computerised system would provide", stated Kate Ewing, General Manager of the hotel. "We went through a detailed evaluation process with Guestline, involving all key members of our staff to ensure complete buy-in to the concept. The system has bedded in well and we are very pleased with the level of service provided to date".

Guestline partners with Dell
In response to strong market demand for a single source solution from hospitality IT suppliers, Guestline now offers Dell hardware as standard for new client implementations and existing customer upgrades. Prices are set to match or better those available on Dell's web site.

Guestline's recommended specification is designed to offer lasting performance and reliability in 24-hour business environments. The computers are shipped to our offices and configured by our engineers to ensure optimum performance of our applications. In addition, the hardware is supplied with Dell's 3 year, next business day, on-site maintenance plan.

Guestline acquires a PC based EPoS System
Guestline have added an Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) System to compliment its portfolio of solutions for the hospitality industry.
Guestline EPoS is a networkable, PC based, touch screen solution, which is till independent. The system includes integrated back office software and a mobile solution for hand-held devices. Guestline will also offer a one-stop source for software and all associated hardware, where required.

Guestline EPoS has been integrated with the Guestline Property Management System and was officially launched at Hostec 2005 in January.
"We have been keen to add an EPoS solution to our product range for some time now", stated Steve Patterson, Managing Director of Guestline Ltd. "The acquisition of this software places us firmly in the "single source solution" category for both the independent and corporate sectors".

Commission free, integrated Web Bookings module now available for Guestline
It is estimated that the internet currently generates 33% of all hotel bookings. By the year 2010, this figure will have risen to 45%. Of those web bookings, approximately 53%-56% will be booked directly by the consumer on the hotel's own web site.*
These figures demonstrate that it is essential to provide a real time, online booking facility on your own web site in order to eliminate transaction fees and to maximise revenue by converting "lookers to bookers".The launch of the fully integrated Guestline Web Bookings Engine provides hoteliers with the ability to do exactly that, without incurring costly transaction fees.
The module is the result of extensive consultation with existing clients and prospects alike. Users can specify how many rooms may be sold online and which rates in the PMS may be offered to web site visitors. Bookings are confirmed online and by email, while the booking flows directly into the PMS without the need for any user intervention. The risk of double bookings or missed opportunities to sell online is therefore eliminated and an extra sales channel created.
