Ever since the 1920s, when Percy Brend opened a butcher’s shop on Barnstaple’s Butcher’s Row, the Brend family have been a permanent fixture in the South West. Over the years, they have built up a portfolio of hotels across the West Country, starting with the Royal Hotel in Bideford and steadily expanding the unique Brend Hotels philosophy to the eleven hotels and two restaurants they own today.
While each of their properties across the West Country have their own unique atmosphere and appeal, they all share the dedication to outstanding quality and service that’s been the Brend trademark for 50 years.
To continue in the quest for customer service excellence, and to maintain the demand of a successful reputation as a quality resort group, Brend Hotels were keen to upgrade their property management system and invest in online solutions to maximise their global customer base.
After approaching several potential providers, Brend decided to install Guestline’s centralised, Rezlynx Property Management System and fully integrated Distribution Channel Manager. These solutions incorporate full central reservations office capabilities, real-time head office management reporting, seamless cross-bookings and live online reservations through Brend Hotels’ website and online channels.
When choosing a new system, it was of vital importance that any replacement minimised hardware expenditure, enabled us to streamline our operations, and was PCI-DSS compliant.
